Nissan has a huge following in the Saudi Arabian market. And they wanted to engage the visitors in a fun and creative way, at one of the most renowned Car related events in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The event is called MBC's Actionha 2015, which was held at Jeddah Raceway. It is best described as a heaven for car enthusiasts. Set in an out-door environment with the focus on showcase of raw power, street tuned-up cars, hip-hop music, drifting events and various other engaging activities.
Nissan briefed us to formulate strategy to interact with their visitors during the event. And it didn't take us too long to find out what drives the Saudi car fanatics go crazy. Well, its the love for taking pictures with their dream cars. And we gave these car enthusiasts this opportunity by visiting the Nissan booth and express themselves with Nissan. We based our interactive engagements around the concept of taking expressive selfies with Nissan cars, and sharing them on social media.
Art Direction, Branding, Logo Development
The campaign was named and shared on social media using the hashtag #ExpressYourselfWithNissan. Express Yourself With Nissan allows car lovers to have their expressive headshots taken and then super-imposed over a selection of top-of-the-line Nissan models.
The branding adopts an urban street-style theme, which complements the bold and expressive nature of the event, and the enthusiasts participating in this activity. A bilingual street-sign styled logo was developed for this campaign. The custom type was done in the way grafitti artists do their grafittis in the urban landscape.
Five Illustrations were developed in the same theme, which demonstrate the exciting process.
The next task was to plan and execute the optimum user experience while interacting with Nissan's Photo-booth. The technical illustrations of the Photo-Booth with accurate measurements and all the required equipment were developed.
The Booth then needed to be branded inside out. And hence the artworks were developed which complements the theme of #ExpressYourselfWithNissan. All four sides of the booth was branded. The front wall of the booth contains an lcd screen with instructional videos explaning the audience on how to engage with this interactive installation.
